Well…That Was a Bust!

You might remember this post!   Do you?  Well, I had to have that surgery AGAIN.  So for the past 5 weeks I’ve been in that get-up again and trying to get things accomplished; which has proven tough!  I’ve let my blogging go by the wayside and for that, dear reader, I am eternally sorry.  I do have a number of things to update you on, though!

Abysmal failure.  Okay, okay, it certainly could have been worse.  I spent a lot of time prior to surgery cramming words in the story trying to get as close as I could to the 50,000 word goal.  I got just over 10,000 which I actually feel pretty accomplished with, and considering surgery was on the 9th I’m pretty sure I would have made it.  So, yay me!  If you’re interested in more excerpts leave a comment and I’ll dig some out…

2. Surgery
This time seems to have been better than the first.  The surgeon really has no idea what happened or if it was an error on his part or another injury.  A second MRI showed more tearing in an area there wasn’t tearing before that could only be fixed with surgery, and I was willing to do it only because my range of motion was WORSE after the first surgery.  I can assure you there will not be a third surgery.  After surgery he said to me, “well you sure came by your discomfort and pain honestly!”  What that meant to me was it was good I did the surgery and the discomfort wasn’t “all in my head” which he may have been thinking.

I’m probably at about 70% according to my Physical Therapist which seems encouraging.

*sigh* It’s pretty difficult to take pictures when your right arm is tied down.  If you take all your pictures from waist level it works pretty well, but that doesn’t make for a very interesting picture.  I tried using a tripod which worked okay, but it was still difficult to push the button and I got a lot of shaking, out of focus pictures.  Oh well.

Last night I finished all of my shopping.  Now it’s on to wrapping and organizing.  I love this time of year.  I love being able to give gifts and make people happy.

I hope this season brings you peace, happiness and joy!
