Was it something I said?

If you follow me on Facebook you may have noticed that I am putting on a fundraiser.  Every year the girls in my church  attend a girls camp for a week.  Generally, the girls have to pay for themselves–this year we were grated the opportunity to have a fundraiser and since I am the Camp Director for my congregation it falls under my responsibility.

Several ideas were tossed around (and by several I mean two besides mine).  In the end mine was the best, thankyouverymuch!

A woman in my congregation is a professional jazz musician and the glimpses we’ve got of her talent leave me wanting more (my church believes in very conservative music), so the thought of having her do a charity concert had me OVER THE MOON!

Aaaaaaanywho….here goes.  Dear readers, you are cordially invited to attend my fundraiser.  It is going to be a FANTASTIC evening, I promise.  I’m not even kidding.  So, maybe the 5 of you readers would like to buy a ticket?  (there will be treats at intermission…does that help?)  Oh, and if you want to bring friends, that is also acceptable!

I’ve become obsessed with photographing doors.

It’s only Wednesday and the week has been hell.  If you’re having trouble reading this, it’s because I’ve found out this week that I speak some form of Alien that is impossible to understand.  Apparently when I say one thing, everyone hears just the opposite.  It doesn’t seem to matter how I say something, one thing comes out of my mouth, and completely different thing enters the ears of the listener (or eyes of the reader).

I’m perplexed and troubled by this.  I certainly understand a miscommunication now and then, with so many different people and so many communication styles there’s bound to be problems, but at every turn?  It’s killing me!

In other news I felt like there was maybe a problem between me and someone I’m working with on a task so I just sent a little email asking if we were okay.  The response, “yes, we’re fine…well, wait, now that you mention it, let me list 42 things that are problems with you.”  BAH!  What the crap?!

Maybe if I go to bed things will be better tomorrow…
